Jack the Ripper

Jack the Ripper is Britain's most infamous serial killer. From late August until early November five prostitutes were murdered in the Whitechapel area of London. Mary Ann Nichols, August 31, Annie Chapman, September 8, Elizabeth Stride, September 30, Catherine Eddowes, September 30 and Mary Jane Kelly, November 9. As the murders have gone unsolved, a number of different theories on who the murderer might have been have arisen, from someone in the Royal Family, several doctors, a local lodger, a fish porter and numerous madmen.
