London Audio Tour - Jack the Ripper
In
the autumn of 1888 a serial killer was at large in the East End of London. Within
a period of 10 weeks he struck 5 times. His victims were the women who would give
themselves to anyone who would pay them the price of a glass of gin. Their killer
was never caught and has been the subject of speculation and controversy ever
since. To this day he is known simply as "Jack the Ripper".
Assisted
by dramatised soundtrack featuring contemporary characters, the narrator escorts
you back to Victorian Whitechapel, to the murder sites and to a public house frequented
by his unfortunate victims, and possibly by "Jack" himself, where you
will hear his conclusions as to who "Jack the Ripper" might have been.
